In this series of Site Recovery Manager we have worked on the Site Recovery Manager Installation, Configuration and Recovery of the virtual machines and other additional features. SRM provides a reporting feature also where we can export the reports of the steps performed in the Recovery of the virtual machine. It is always helpful have such reports so that you can also understand which steps are performed and you have the time stamp of the steps performed so that you can show it to the management how much time it takes for the recovery of the Virtual Machine.
So In this post we will see on how you can export reports in Site Recovery Manager.
Login to vSphere web client.
Go to Site Recovery.
Click “OPEN Site Recovery” to access the Site Recovery Manager configuration.
Go to Recovery Plans History as shown.
Select the Recovery Plan for which you want to Export report or you can Export all at once.
Select Export Report.
You will get prompt for Exporting Reports.
Here you can download the report or you can open the report.
You have multiple formats supported for reports such as: HTML, CSV, XLS, DOC and XML.
Select the Appropriate format and click Download.
Below is the Sample of HTML Report So you can see how it looks:
That’s it, Using this way you can easily export reports of Recovery Plans as well as vSphere Replication. Reports are presented in nice UI which will provide you with each steps performed and timestamp of the each steps. You can also view the status of the recovery plan is it failed or success.
