SRM: How to Configure Network Mappings in SRM
When you install Site Recovery Manager you have to do Inventory Mappings from DC site to DR site. Inventory Mappings includes Network Mappings, Folder Mappings, Resource Mappings, Storage Policy Mappings. All of the Mappings require for proper management and configuration of virtual machine at DR Site.
Network Mappings is very important to provide the Network connectivity to virtual machines. In Network Mapping we specify the network to be mapped from Protected site(DC site) to Recovery site(DR Site). So that if you do recovery of the virtual machine , your virtual machines will get access to the network. Network Mappings also configure test networks for the testing purpose at DR Site. It means when you do test recovery isolated network will be created automatically to test the virtual machine recovery at Recovery site.
In this post we will see on How to configure Network Mappings in Site Recovery Manager Step by Step:

As you can see that your Mapping is created successfully and it is listed below.
You can create additional Network Mapping and Edit or delete the existing mapping also.
That’s it we have successfully created Network Mappings for Recovery site. So now when you Recovery virtual machines your VM’s will use the specified Network for connectivity. Make sure you select Proper Network for the Mapping if any wrong network is selected then you will not get the network connectivity after Recovery of the virtual machines.
