NAS Backup:
Organizations often uses NAS devices to store their critical files or use it as file shares which are accessible by multiple peoples for ease of use. Nakivo has introduced new feature which allows you to protect files or folders in NAS devices file shares so that if it gets deleted it can be restored easily. The feature supports backup and recovery of file shares using the NFS and SMB (CIFS) protocols on NAS as well as Windows and Linux file servers.
Backup from Nimble Storage Snapshots:
Backup solutions mostly depends on the VM snapshots for the backup. Which sometimes increases load, bandwidth & decreases performance of the VMs. So in order to overcome this problem if you are using Nimble Storage than you can simply perform backup from storage snapshots instead of per VM snapshots. Which ultimately reduces the data processing & load on production environments.
Microsoft 365 Groups Backup:
This newly introduced feature is useful in case of Microsoft 365 Groups, where you can directly perform Backup & Restore of group mailboxes (including mail, files, and OneNote items) and group sites (including document libraries, lists etc.).
In this Beta version they have introduced above 3 features which are useful for every organization. In upcoming full versions you may see more & more features added into the solution which can improve the overall functionality of the Backup & Restore.
