VMware Update Manager allows you to Upgrade and Patch your ESXi hosts easily. So when you are Upgrading or Patching ESXi hosts you will require to Download Images & Patches from VMware. There are 2 ways you can use either you can upload ESXi images & Patches or you can directly download from Update Manager. ESXi Images are the ISO files which you will use to Install or Upgrade the ESXi hosts. When going for Upgrade you can easily Download ESXi Images from VMware and Upload it into Update Manager so you don’t have to download the ESXi Images manually. It is very simple process on how you can Import ESXi images in Update Manager.
So let’s see How to Import ESXi Images in Update Manager:
Login to vSphere Web Client.
Go to Update Manager.
Select ESXi Images Tab.
Here you can see available ESXi images for uploading ESXi Images click on “IMPORT” button.
You will see Import ESXi image wizard.
Click on Browse button to select the ESXi Image.
It will take just few minutes to Upload the ESXi image.
Once Uploaded successfully you can see the available Images here.
You can select the Image to see available files under that Image.
Using this way you can easily Upload ESXi images in Update Manager. It is very easy to Upload ESXi images into the Update Manager.
