How to Create Users in vRealize Operations Manager
vRealize Operations Manager allows you to create and manage local users, So that you can easily create local users based on your requirement and assign permission or access to that user so that you don’t have to give admin access to everyone.
User creation is simple task which we will see in this post. It is always recommended to create different users for different environments. In this post we will see on How to create local users in vROPS Step by Step.
So let’ see How to create user in vRealize Operations Manager:
Step 1:
Login to vRealize Operations Manager.
Go to Administration Tab.
Select Access Control.
Click Green Plus icon to create users.
Step 2:
Provide the Username, Password, and other details.
Click Next.
Step 3:
Go to Objects Tab to assign permissions.
Select Drop down on Select Role to see available roles.
You can choose the role for the user based on your requirement.
Here we have selected ReadOnly role.
Check the box Assign this role to the user to assign permissions.
Now select the objects on which you want to assign access to the user.
Click Finish to create user.
Now you can see that User is created and listed.
You can edit or delete the user from here.
You can verify the permission and accessibility of the user by logging in using the newly created user:
That’s it , Using this way you can easily create multiple users and assign permissions to the users . You can configure specific departments and create users based on that and give permissions to them.
