Configure VM Backup in BDRSuite 7.0.0

Login to the BDRSuite console.
Go to Backup > Configure Backup > VMware vSphere.
You will get Backup configuration wizard.
Here you can provide Backup Job Name, Repository details etc.


On next screen you have to select which VMs you want to backup.


If you have any specific requirement for disk exclusion that you can do here. So that disk won’t be backed up.


If you are having any critical application such as MSSQL, Exchange so you can configure Application related functionalities.


You can also configure VMware Quiescing if you want to have successful application server backups.


Configure the backup schedule according to your requirement.
You can configure Synthetic Full Backup, Incremental backup & Additional full backup.


If you want to setup retention period you can do it from this page. So that data will be retained for specified days. You can also configure Encryption for your Backup so that VM backups are protected.


Review all the configuration you have made for VM backup & save.



Now your backup job is saved & it will get started on the specified schedule. If you want to make any changes that you can do by editing the backup configuration.
