Configure DNS Server in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager
In our first post we have installed the vRealize Suite Lifecycle manager (vRSLCM) successfully. Now the next part is to configure the solution so that we can use it efficiently with all the features & functionalities. In this post we will see on How to configure DNS Server in vRSLCM.
DNS Server is important to resolve the hostname with IP addresses & vice versa. So whenever we are deploying any solution or product we make sure that we have DNS entry in place for that so we can easily access the solution using FQDN.
vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager is used to deploy, manage & configure different vRealize products in the vSphere Environment. So if you have already setup DNS Server it will be easier for you to add it to the deployment process. vRSLCM does not have any DNS Functionality but it is just that we add DNS Server details so that we can use same DNS Server across all the deployments.
