vRealize Operations Manager allows you add additional data node to expand your cluster so that you can easily monitor larger environments. It is called the scale out feature. In this post we will see on How you can add additional node in vRealize Operations Manager Cluster.
You can dynamically scale out vRealize Operations Manager by adding data nodes without stopping the vRealize Operations Manager cluster. A data node always shares the load of performing vRealize Operations Manager analysis and might also have a solution adapter installed to perform collection and data storage from the environment. You must have a master node before you add data nodes. So we will see on How to Add Data node in vROPS Existing Cluster.
Make Sure you have Master Node successfully Configured and Deployed. So then only you can add additional data node.
Check Below Post for Deploying vROPS Appliance Step by Step:
Deploy the vROPS Appliance first.
Open the Appliance Installer. By Providing IP address or Hostname of the Deployed Appliance into Browser URL.
You will get Get Started Page.
Click Expand Existing Installation to add node to existing cluster.

Once the Installation is completed.
Click on Finish Adding New Node to complete the Cluster Expansion wizard.
You will be prompted for the confirmation.
Click OK to confirm.
That’s it, Now you can see that Both the nodes are showing and in active state.
