ESXi 6 Installation Step by Step

ESXi is the Hypervisor provided by the VMware. ESXi is used to virtualize the physical hardware servers. ESXi is most widely used Hypervisor to virtualize the Datacenter’s. ESXi Hypervisor is based on Linux so it provides the Robust security features.

So Let’s see how to install ESXi Hypervisor on the server Step by Step.

ESXi 6 Installation Step by Step :-

Step 1:
Download the ESXi ISO from Vmware Site.
After Download burn in the CD & insert the CD into server.
Start the Server & you will get the screen like below. Just press Enter with first option Selected to install the ESXi.

Step-1

After It Loads the Some of Services & you will get below screen .

Step-3

Step 2:
Here the ESXi Installation wizard starts.
Press Enter to Continue & proceed for Installation.

Step-4

Step 3:
Accept the License agreement from VMware just press F11 to Accept & Continue.

Step-5

Step 4:
We have to provide the disk for the Installation of ESXi Hypervisor.
As you can see Local Disk storage of server is listed already.
If you have any Remote disks it will also list here.
So choose the Disk where you want to Install & press Enter to proceed.

Step-6

Step 5:
Choose the Appropriate Language according to your requirement & press Enter to Continue.

Step-7

Step 6:
Here you will have to provide the Password for the ESXi Server.
This is the root user password of the ESXi. It will require to sign into the DCUI Console of ESXi & also for the vSphere Client Host Access. So choose the strong password & press Enter to Continue.

Step-8-1

Step 7:
Now it will take some time to scan the system & than it will ask you to confirm the installation press F11 to Install.

Step-10

Step 8:
It will take 10-15 minutes to install the ESXi After successful installation it will require reboot so just press Enter to reboot the server.

Step-11

After the Successful Installation You will get the below Screen & Congratulations you have successfully installed the ESXi.
You can customize the System by pressing the F2.
