Deprecated VMFS volume(s) found on the host
Hello Friends i was working on the one site & i have found one alert appearing on the many ESXi hosts saying that “Deprecated VMFS volumes found on the host. Please consider upgrading volume(s) to the latest version”. So i was just worried about what happened & i checked events regarding storage & also checked with VM Storage with VMFS volumes but there everything was fine & up to date.

Then i researched for this warning & found one VMware KB article “2109735” in that VMware specified that this issue occurs “When a LUN is presented to the host for the first time, the host fails to detect the version of the file system and, therefore, is unable to compare it with the list of valid file system to return a match. “. To resolve this issue we need to upgrade vCenter to vCenter Server 6.0 Update 2.
There is one workaround & fix which you can use to resolve this very easily. You just have to restart the management agents on the ESXi hosts to clear this warning message.
Connect to the ESXi host using SSH connection by Putty. Provide the Root credentials to login. Enter the Below command.
services.sh restart
After entering command you will see all the services or agents getting restarted so just wait for 1-2 minutes to complete the process & then check again your warning will be cleared now.
In your case first check from Storage End whether all things are up to date VMFS volumes, Storage mounted then go with this steps.
