Restore VM using Altaro VM Backup

Altaro VM Backup is great solution for your virtual infrastructure as it provides many powerful tools & technologies for Backup & Restore options. The main benefit of Altaro VM Backup is that it provides both the top level virtualization technologies in one suit which is VMware & Hyper-V.

In previous post we have seen on how to backup vm using Altaro VM Backup. In this post I will show you how you can easily Restore VM using Altaro VM Backup.

Restore VM using Altaro VM Backup :

Step 1:
Open the Altaro VM Backup.
Connect to your Altaro VM Backup Instance.
Click on Restore on the Right Pane.

Step 2:
Here you have to provide the Backup Location of your virtual machine where you have taken your Backup.
So choose Backup Location & click Next to proceed.

Step 3:
Choose which VM you want to Restore.
Click Next to proceed.

Step 4:
Here you can provide additional configuration for Restore.
You can choose the Backup Version if you have taken multiple Backup you can choose which Backup you want to Restore.
You can also provide Name for your Virtual Machine.
You can also specify on which Host you want o Restore.
You can also specify on which Datastore you want to Restore your VM.
So after all the configuration click on Restore Button to start the Restoration.

Step 5:
Now in the Dashboard you can see that Restore process has started.
You can see that How much restore is completed & how much remaining.
You can also Abort the Restore process by Abort option.

So Now as you can see our VM has restored successfully.
