In this series of vRealize Operations Manager at this stage we have successfully deployed & integrated vROPS with vCenter Server. vRealize Operations Manager monitors all the vSphere objects such as virtual machines, cluster, datastore etc etc. Once you integrate the vCenter Server in vROPS it will take few days for vROPS to collect all the data from vCenter Server & analyze it.
Once all the data is collected you can have the complete overview about your vSphere infra in the vRealize Operations Manager. You can monitor the Health, Risk & Efficiency of each & every vSphere objects.
vRealize Operations Manager comes with all the required reports which are very useful & detailed to know about the vSphere Infra or any objects. In vRealize Operations Manager you will have many predefined Report templates available which you can use to generate the Reports based on your requirement.
In this post we will show you an example on how to generate reports & the sample report so that you can easily generate reports in your environment.
How Generate Reports in vROPS:
Login to your vRealize Operations Manager.
Choose the Environment section from left side.
Then choose vSphere Hosts & Clusters.
Here you can see the complete overview about your vSphere world.
You can generate reports based on your requirements such as full vCenter, Datacenter, Cluster , Virtual Machine etc etc.
Select the object for which you want to generate reports.
Choose Reports tab on the top.
Select Report Templates.
Choose the Report which you required & click on the Icon Report with small green Triangle as shown in Number 5.
Go to Generated Reports to download the Report.
You can download reports in 2 different formats which are quite useful in PDF or CSV.
Select the Report which you want to download & choose the format to download the report.
You have successfully generated & downloaded the Report. You can check the downloaded report. Below is the sample of the report generated for the cluster configuration summary.
That’s it you have successfully generated the Report in the vRealize Operations Manager. Now you can generate the multiple report based on your requirements.
